Minister Kubrakov: Ship inspections resume despite Russia’s attempts to disrupt grain deal
The inspection of vessels sailing via the ‘grain corridor’ is resuming after Russia blocked it for the second time.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration - Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Ship inspections are being resumed, despite the RF’s attempts to disrupt the agreement. With Türkiye, the United Nations and other partners, we continue consultations on ways to ensure the full implementation of the Grain deal in compliance with the obligations of all parties and JCC [Joint Coordination Centre – Ed.] procedures,” Kubrakov wrote.
Additionally, Kubrakov expressed gratitude to Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar for the constructive dialogue and clear position on supporting the work of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
A reminder that, on April 17, 2023, Russia for the second time blocked the inspections of vessels, sailing via the ‘grain corridor’, in Türkiye’s territorial waters.
