Kyiv mayor meets with EBRD president
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has met with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development led by EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso.
The mayor announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"I met in the city hall with the EBRD delegation led by the bank's president, Odile Renaud-Basso. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is a long-standing and reliable partner of Kyiv," Klitschko said.
He noted that the Ukrainian capital is implementing several important projects in cooperation with the EBRD. In particular, in 2019, Kyiv joined the EBRD Green Cities program. As part of the program, the city is implementing projects for a total amount of EUR 320 million.
Moreover, Klitschko recalled that Kyiv is implementing a project that envisages EUR 180 million for the renewal of rolling stock. Of these funds, EUR 50 million has been allocated for metro cars and EUR 60 million for trams. EUR 10 million has been earmarked for the reconstruction of the tram line and the Kontraktova Plosha bus stop, and EUR 60 million for the overhaul of the Metro Bridge roadways.
In 2022, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided EUR 280 million to support the working capital of agricultural producers and processors in Ukraine.
