Head of State imposes sanctions on companies related to pro-Kremlin oligarch Medvedchuk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted another package of sanctions, introducing restrictive measures against the property of Russian companies in Ukraine and the property of the Ukrainian economic entities affiliated with them.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Another sanctions package for today. I have signed a decree, imposing restrictive measures on the property of Russian companies in Ukraine and the property of the Ukrainian economic entities affiliated with them. Sometimes even critical infrastructure facilities and key strategic enterprises were under their control. Today we are overcoming these risks. Additionally, sanctions were introduced against the companies related to Medvedchuk and other sanctioned individuals, founders, managers, beneficiaries of pro-Russian companies, owning significant assets within the territory of Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.

A reminder that, on May 12, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky approved five sanctions packages, blocking Russia’s influence on political and economic processes in Ukraine.
