First list of projects for restoration worth almost UAH 18B prepared

The interagency working group prepared a list of projects with preliminary prioritization for the allocation of funds for recovery from the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

"During the meeting, the interagency working group reviewed the first 377 projects worth UAH 17.9 billion to be financed by the Liquidation Fund. The projects were submitted by local self-government bodies, as well as central executive bodies for consideration through the Sectoral Infrastructure Restoration Management System, which is an integral part of the DREAM digital ecosystem," the press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

Based on the results of the consideration of the projects, the working group compiled a list of projects with preliminary prioritization which will be submitted for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The final list of projects will be approved by the Government after the submitted documentation is finalized by the applicants.

Approved projects will be financed by the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

Currently, the team of the Restoration Agency, together with the restoration services in the regions, representatives of the executive authorities, inspect the objects, study all the available documentation, and work out the relevant mechanisms and terms of restoration.

The next meetings of the interagency working group will be broadcast online and will be available for public viewing.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law providing for the creation of the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression as part of a special fund of the state budget. The Fund is to finance the construction of public buildings, civil protection structures, reconstruction, overhaul of critical infrastructure facilities, and housing for internally displaced persons and people who lost it as a result of military operations. For 2023, the budget of the Fund has been approved in the amount of UAH 52.5 billion.
