Zelensky’s Office welcomes EU restrictions on companies helping Russia bypass sanctions

The Ukrainian President's Office welcomes the EU's decision to impose sanctions against more than 90 entities that have been helping the Russian Federation circumvent the restrictions introduced over aggression toward Ukraine.

This was announced on Telegram by Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, Ukrinform reports.

"The EU decision to introduce sanctions against more than 90 non-Russian companies that helped the Russian Federation to circumvent sanctions can only be welcomed," he wrote.

Yermak noted that there would always be attempts on the part of Russia to bypass sanctions "but the punishment for helping them to this end should be severe."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the U.S. and Japan’s governments have introduced new sanctions against hundreds of individuals and entities associated with Russia's war against Ukraine, as the Group of Seven nations confirmed their determination to further increase Russia's accountability for invading Ukraine.
