Ukraine exports 45.29M t of grains, pulses
In the current marketing year (MY) (from July 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023), Ukraine exported 45.29 million tonnes of grains and legumes.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported this.
It is noted that in 2022/2023 MY Ukraine exported 15.442 million tonnes of wheat, 2.647 million tonnes of barley, 17,900 tonnes of rye, and 26.868 million tonnes of corn.
For comparison, from July 2021 to May 31, 2022, Ukraine exported 47.011 million tonnes of grains and pulses, including 18.57 million tonnes of wheat, 5.679 million tonnes of barley, 161,900 tonnes of rye, and 22.295 million tonnes of corn.
In May of this year, Ukraine exported 3.403 million tonnes of grains and pulses (1.142 million tonnes in May last year), including 1.044 million tonnes of wheat (44,000 tonnes in May last year), 182,000 tonnes of barley (11,000 tonnes in May 2022), and 2.17 million tonnes of corn (1.084 million tonnes in May 2022). In May this year and in May last year, Ukraine did not export rye.
Since the beginning of 2022/2023 MY, Ukraine has exported 141,500 tonnes of flour (71,000 tonnes in 2021/2022 MY).
As Ukrinform reported, according to Ukrainian Agrarian Council, by the end of the current season, Ukraine will have 10 million tonnes of carryover grain from previous seasons for export.
