Creation of full-fledged stock market discussed at government meeting – Shmyhal
At a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed the creation of a full-fledged stock market in Ukraine.
"We are also working on the introduction of a compulsory accumulative pension system. An integral component of this reform is the creation of a full-fledged capital market in Ukraine," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.
According to him, a memorandum has been signed with the American Chamber of Commerce and USAID and now it is necessary to proceed to practical steps —the creation of the stock market infrastructure.
"The involvement of international partners in this project will help implement the best experience and practices," the Prime Minister said
Shmyhal emphasized that the war should not become an obstacle to development and innovation. The authorities continue implementing reforms for the sake of a modern and flourishing Ukraine.
As reported, the Stock Market (securities market) is a part of the capital market where securities are issued, bought and sold. According to experts, this is one of the most realistic and simplest mechanisms for attracting domestic and foreign investments in the real sector of the economy.
