Int'l customers start actively storing gas in Ukrainian gas storage facilities - Naftogaz
Due to the fullness of European storage facilities, international customers are already actively pumping gas into Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities (UGSF).
According to Ukrinform, Naftogaz of Ukraine reported this.
"Currently, over 1,000 companies from 29 countries are using Ukrainian UGSF to store gas in the customs warehouse mode. This season, Ukraine offers its customers and partners more than 10 billion cubic meters of UGSF for use," Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz, said.
It is noted that Ukrainian UGSF also offer customers competitive tariffs for the storage of natural gas. The tariff policy for international partners for gas storage in Ukrainian UGSF remains unchanged until the end of the gas withdrawal season.
"Our UGSF have sufficient capacity to inject significant volumes of gas. Our customers can continue to store gas in the customs warehouse mode (without customs clearance for three years). This is another advantage of Ukrainian UGSF," Roman Malyutin, acting CEO of Ukrtransgaz, added.
As reported earlier, Ukraine’s Ukrtransgaz became the second gas storage operator in Europe to successfully pass certification under the new EU rules.
