About 66.4% of Ukrainian pensioners receive pensions up to UAH 5,000 - PFU

As of July 1, the average pension payment in Ukraine is UAH 5,311.44 (≈USD 142.39). But 66.4% of pensioners receive payments not exceeding UAH 5,000.

According to Ukrinform, the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) released such data.

As of July 1, 2023, the total number of pensioners in Ukraine was 10,552,336 people. The average pension payment is UAH 5,311.44.

At the same time, 0.6% of the total number of pensioners (63,700) receive payments of up to UAH 2,000. Another 29.5% (over 3.1 million people) receive payments not exceeding UAH 3,000.

One-fifth of pensioners (21.3%, or 2.24 million) receive payments in the range of UAH 3,001 to 4,000, and 15% (almost 1.6 million people) receive payments in the range of UAH 4,001 to 5,000.

In Ukraine, 1.1 million people, or 10.4% of the total number of pensioners, receive pensions over UAH 10,000.

As reported, in the first six months of 2023, PFU received UAH 201.0 billion in single social contribution revenues, which is UAH 12.6 billion more than planned.
