Zelensky wants to set up Silicon Valley-type project in Crimea - minister
President Volodymyr Zelensky has an idea to create in Crimea, after the peninsula is liberated, a project similar to the U.S.-based Silicon Valley, the world's leading center of high-tech companies.
That’s according to the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development, Mykhailo Fedorov, who spoke with Vector, Ukrinform reports.
"The President has an idea: to build a project in Crimea similar to the Silicon Valley — involving a super-technological university, companies that work there all year round, etc.," Fedorov noted.
According to the minister, clusters similar to Silicon Valley will appear across Ukraine "if we shape our policy the right way."
"Also, when we win, we will resolve security issues and be able to develop in terms of infrastructure," the official added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk noted that the reintegration of Crimea will be more difficult than that of other territories as it will require a separate approach.
