Five nuclear reactors repaired at Ukrainian NPPs this year
Ukraine's National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom repaired five nuclear reactors at the country's nuclear power plants this year.
The company's president, Petro Kotin, said this on Ukrainian television, according to Ukrinform.
"All our nuclear reactors are gradually going through the period of repairs and overloading of nuclear fuel. To date, the fifth nuclear reactor in the country has been returned to the power system. We are working with five nuclear reactors that have been completely repaired and are ready to work throughout the year," Kotin said.
He noted that four nuclear reactors were currently under repair and would gradually return to work within a month. Kotin said he expected all NPP reactors located in the Ukrainian-held territory to operate this winter.
