Ukraine exports 4.2M t of grains, pulses

In the 2023/2024 marketing year (MY) (from July 1 to August 28, 2023), Ukraine exported almost 4.2 million tonnes of grains and legumes.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported this.

In the current MY Ukraine has already exported 1.8 million tonnes of wheat, 460,000 tonnes of barley, 600 tonnes of rye, and 1.9 million tonnes of corn.

For comparison, in 2022/2023 MY, as of August 31, 2022, Ukraine exported almost four million tonnes of grains and pulses, including 1.1 million tonnes of wheat, 310,000 tonnes of barley, 500 tonnes of rye, and 2.5 million tonnes of corn.

Since the beginning of August 2023, Ukraine has already exported 1.9 million tonnes of grains and pulses (as of August 31 last year, 2.3 million tonnes), including 952,000 tonnes of wheat (763,000 tonnes as of August 31, 2022), 165,000 tonnes of barley (161,000 tonnes as of August 31 last year), and 763,000 tonnes of corn (1.3 million tonnes as of August 31, 2022). This year, since the beginning of August, rye has not been exported (last year, 500 tonnes in the same period).

Since 2023/2024 MY, Ukraine has exported 20,800 tonnes of flour (in 2022/2023 MY, 11,900 tonnes as of the corresponding date).

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine exported almost 49 million tonnes of grains and pulses in 2022/2023 MY (from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023).
