Ukrainian farmers raise UAH 60.1B of development loans
Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have raised UAH 60.1 billion worth of loans from banks for development purposes since the beginning of 2023.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Most loans under various programs were received by agricultural producers in the Kyiv region (851 enterprises, UAH 11.58 billion), Vinnytsia region (1,334 enterprises, UAH 5.5 billion), Dnipropetrovsk region (757 enterprises, UAH 5.4 billion), Kirovohrad region (1,586 enterprises, UAH 4.52 billion), Odesa region (1,036 enterprises, UAH 4.11 billion).
As of October 18, 2023, more than UAH 34.8 billion was provided to 9,000 businesses as part of the government program ‘Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%’.
Most loans under the aforementioned program were taken up by agricultural producers in the Kirovohrad region (1,269 enterprises, UAH 3.9 billion), Vinnytsia region (1,020 enterprises, UAH 3.6 billion), Odesa region (838 enterprises, UAH 3.4 billion), Kyiv region (688 enterprises, UAH 3.25 billion).
A reminder that the government program ‘Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%’ facilitates access for micro- and small-sized enterprises to banking lending services. Ukrainian farmers can raise a loan of up to UAH 90 million.
