Zelensky: Ukraine is working on agreements with partners on joint production of air defense systems

Ukraine is working to conclude agreements with international partners on the joint production of air defense systems to protect Ukrainian skies.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during an online speech at the sixth German-Ukrainian Economic Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Air defense. We are building special relations with the most powerful countries in the world to provide our cities with reliable air defense against Russian terror. Of course, Germany is among these countries. We are working on agreements with partners to jointly produce air defense systems. This is a strategic task. I have no doubt that we are able to implement it," Zelensky said.

He emphasized, however, that it will take time to realize this task, so the partners should continue to support the creation of the Ukrainian "air shield". The President of Ukraine thanked Germany for understanding this need.

As Ukrinform reported, Zelensky said that Ukraine has a plan to strengthen its air defense, which it is working on together with international partners.
