Ukrgasvydobuvannya connects more than 630 wells to remote monitoring

JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya has connected more than 630 wells to the unified monitoring system since 2020.

This is said in a statement by Naftogaz Group’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

“Ukrgasvydobuvannya has been engaged in the digital transformation of its production processes since 2020. Over three years, modern technologies have been implemented to connect its network of more than 630 well points to remote monitoring. Since the beginning of 2023, more than 250 wells have been integrated into the unified monitoring system,” the statement says.

Oleh Tolmachоv, acting Director General of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, noted the positive impact of this technological transition, including a reduction in gas losses and operational costs linked to servicing wells that are now integrated into the unified monitoring system.

“Digitalization opens up new opportunities to enhance gas production efficiency, which is a strategic priority for us. With the ability to analyze key well performance online, we can promptly respond to any changes,” he said.

Tolmachev also added that Ukrgasvydobuvannya plans to implement remote monitoring of drilling rigs in the near future.

As reported by Ukrinform, in early November, Ukrgasvydobuvannya commissioned two wells with a flow of almost 500,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
