EU allocates another €1.5B in macro-financial aid to Ukraine (UPD)

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on Wednesday that the EU has allocated a new tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 1.5 billion.

According to Ukrinform, she reported this on the social network X.

"Europe's funding has supported Ukraine's economic stability and public services since the start of Russia’s war. Today we disburse a new €1.5 billion," the EC President said.

She added that the EU's financial support for Ukraine currently amounts to EUR 85 billion.

Ursula von der Leyen also assured that support for Ukraine will increase, as the EC has proposed to allocate EUR 50 billion for Ukraine by 2027.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 23, Ukraine received the ninth tranche of macro-financial assistance from the EU in the amount of EUR 1.5 billion.
