Ukraine's president, Kuwait's emir discuss cooperation in energy, agricultural sectors
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Sabah, in a phone call on Monday discussed the prospects for cooperation in the energy and agricultural sectors.
That's according to the press service of the Ukrainian leader, Ukrinform reports.
Zelensky thanked Sheikh Mishal for Kuwait's support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, voting on key Ukrainian resolutions at the UN, and timely assistance in providing electricity generators ahead of winter.
He also informed the emir about countering the missile terror that Russia renewed during the New Year holidays.
The two discussed the prospects for cooperation in the energy and agricultural sectors.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine ensures freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and thus remains the guarantor of global food stability, while making maximum efforts to restore a just peace.
"We are actively working on further steps to implement the Peace Formula. The voice and position of the Gulf countries are important here," Zelensky said.
He invited a Kuwaiti representative to attend the next meeting of national security advisers and political advisers to the heads of state regarding the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, due to be held in Davos, as well as to participate in the preparation of the upcoming Global Peace Summit.
In mid-January, Switzerland will host a meeting of advisers to the heads of state to discuss the Ukrainian Peace Formula on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
