Traffic moves in both directions at Shehyni-Medyka checkpoint - border guards

At the Shehyni-Medyka checkpoint on the border with Poland, traffic is moving in both directions, despite the threats of Polish farmers.

This was announced on the air of the national marathon "United News" by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, Ukrinform reports.

"The preliminary information we had was that today actions to block traffic in the direction of the Shehyni checkpoint, on the Polish side - Medyka, could begin. But fortunately, these actions have not started, there is normal traffic for all categories of transport, in both directions," said Demchenko.

According to him, given that Polish farmers have announced the blocking of the checkpoint, it cannot be ruled out that this will happen over time.
