Ukraine’s steel production up by almost a third

Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine’s metallurgical enterprises have increased steel production by 31.2% compared to the same period in 2023.

According to data provided by Ukrmetalurgprom, Ukraine’s metallurgical enterprises increased steel production by 3.2% in May 2024 compared to the previous month, up to 737,600 tonnes.

Ukraine’s pig iron production grew by 9.4% to 653,100 tonnes, while rolled metal production grew by 1.8% to 594,900 tonnes.

As reported, all Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises have set growth targets of 10-15% for 2024.
