Procurement for ₴128.3 billion announced through Prozorro system in May
In May, 7.3 thousand public customers announced procurement through the Prozorro system for UAH 128.3 billion, which is 63% more than in April.
This was reported by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun, Ukrinform reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
The Ministry of Economy notes that in May 2024, customers announced almost 38.9 thousand procurements in Prozorro. The largest expenditures were planned to be spent on the purchase of food (UAH 24.5 billion), the continuation of the construction of the Vynohradar metro station in Kyiv (UAH 14 billion), road works (UAH 13.4 billion), repair and reconstruction of buildings (UAH 7.5 billion) and the purchase of electricity (UAH 5.7 billion).
Last month, 28.3 thousand contracts worth UAH 72.2 billion were concluded through Prozorro, saving UAH 8.3 billion in bidding.
"The development of the public procurement system is now going in two main directions. First, we are trying to maximize the transparency and efficiency of defense procurement. And the fact that 90% of the expected cost of food for the needs of the Armed Forces in the second half of 2024 was accounted for by the procurement of the State Enterprise State Logistics Operator demonstrates that our efforts are working. The second important element of our work is to stimulate economic development, which we implement through the Made in Ukraine program to support Ukrainian producers," said Bihun.
As reported, in April, 7.4 thousand public procuring entities announced procurements through the Prozorro system for UAH 78.5 billion.
