During the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024), the U.S. corporation DFC announced a financing package that includes political risk insurance for Ukraine for $350 million.

Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said this at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center dedicated to summarizing the results of the conference.

"Each recovery conference had a component to discuss war risk insurance. At the third conference, in Berlin, there was a certain evolution of this theme. The U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has expanded its insurance tools. The new agreements will cover reinsurance for $50 million through the mediation of Aon to form insurance policies against war risks for private companies operating in Ukraine," Svyrydenko said.

An additional $150 million will be used to insure political risks to support transactions that will be made in the agricultural export sector.

"A $152 million contract for political risk insurance has also been concluded for Ukrainian companies that will operate in the manufacturing sector," the minister added.
