Ukraine, Slovakia presidents talk prospects of joint energy projects
On the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Washington, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the new President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini.
This was reported by the Ukrainian President’s Office, Ukrinform saw.
It is noted that the leaders condemned the massive shelling of Ukrainian cities by Russia, as a result of which the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv was affected. The presidents discussed the possibility of treating some of its patients in Slovakia.
Zelensky spoke about the fight against Russian air terror and emphasized the need for additional air defense systems.
During the meeting, the presidents also discussed the outcome of the joint meeting of governments held in Bratislava in April, and talked of humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and prospects for joint projects in energy and border infrastructure.
It is noted that Zelensky thanked Slovakia for supporting Ukraine's future accession to the EU.
As reported, Volodymyr Zelensky and the new head of the British government, Keir Starmer, discussed the practical implementation of the permission to use Storm Shadow missiles against military targets inside Russia.
