Defense industry launches integration into defense structures of U.S., NATO - Ministry of Strategic Industries
Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, summarized the results of his trip to the United States of America, where the Ukrainian delegation took part in the NATO Summit and held a number of bilateral meetings with American defense companies.
The minister wrote about this on Telegram, reports Ukrinform.
"The integration of our defense industry into the structure of the United States and NATO is a difficult and slow process as such. But we already have our first results and a clear route ahead," Kamyshin said.
As a result of the visit to the USA, Ukraine signed an agreement on the production of NATO-standard ammunition with Northrop Grumman.
The office of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry was also deployed in Washington.
In addition, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with representatives from 11 leading defense companies.
Negotiations were held with the leadership of the U.S. Department of Defense, the State Department, the National Security Council, etc.
In turn, the leadership of the Ministry of Strategy and Industry visited two factories and held talks with more than 10 defense companies.
As reported, during the visit to Washington for the NATO Summit, the president discussed the prospects of joint production with American defense executives. The meeting was attended by representatives from BAE Systems, Day&Zimmermann, Boeing, Sierra Nevada Company, Northrop Grumman, RTX, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, D&M Holding, AeroVironment, and Amentum.
