Energoatom completes repairs at NPP power unit

A power unit is back in operation following scheduled repairs at one of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants.

That’s according to the press service of Energoatom, Ukraine’s national nuclear energy operator.

“Energoatom has reconnected to the power grid ahead of time another power unit, following the reloading of nuclear fuel and scheduled repair,” the statement reads.

It is noted that putting the power unit back into operation will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s energy system.

“Given the challenging energy situation, out company specialists are making maximum efforts to carry out planned and preventive repair works with the required quality,” Energoatom stressed.

It is also reported that all other power units of nuclear power plants across Ukraine-controlled areas aer operating as usual.

As reported earlier, the scheduled repair campaign was launched at nuclear power plants this March. It is expected that this year, the repair works will take a total of 617 days.
