European Commission supports allocation of almost EUR 4.2B to Ukraine - Shmyhal
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the European Commission supports the disbursement of almost EUR 4.2 billion to Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram messaging app.
"This substantial aid will strengthen our macro-financial stability amid a long struggle for freedom. After these funds are received, the total amount of funding from the EU within the Ukraine Facility will reach EUR 12 billion," Shmyhal said.
He thanked the European Commission for a positive assessment of Ukraine's progress and President Ursula von der Leyen for her unwavering support.
"Together we are carrying out structural reforms and working towards our common future," Shmyhal said.
Ukraine earlier sent a request to the European Commission for EUR 4.1 billion as part of the Ukraine Facility.
