Ukraine purchases 20,000 UAVs via Prozorro Market

Ukraine’s government has already acquired 20,000 unmanned aerial vehicles through Prozorro Market, having thus saved some UAH 100 million on transparent procurement.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Ukrinform learned.

"The government has purchased 20,000 unmanned aerial vehicles for the army through the Prozorro Market e-catalog. These are UAVs such as DJI Mavic, DJI Matrice, DJI Phantom, AUTEL EVO II, FPV, etc. Their total value exceeds UAH 1.7 billion," the report says.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, the number of drone purchases via Prozorro Market is constantly increasing. In May, 10,000 drones were procured with budget funds. Over the past two and a half months, this number has doubled.

Currently, more than 250 customers regularly purchase drones through Prozorro Market. About 120 suppliers sell UAVs in the catalog, and the average competition is nine actors per bid.

Thanks to high competition, the government is able to utilize funds effectively. Savings on the purchase of drones through Prozorro Market already amount to UAH 110 million.

As reported, since year-start, the government has saved more than UAH 1.3 billion when procuring consumer goods through the Prozorro Market electronic catalog, which exceeds the savings accumulated throughout 2023.
