Oleksandr Moroz withdraws from presidential race in Ukraine

Socialist Party leader Oleksandr Moroz has announced he is withdrawing his candidacy from Ukraine's presidential race.

“The party’s political council at its meeting analyzed the course of the election campaign and reasonably concluded that unprecedented blatant election fraud is being prepared. The party’s leaders consider it inappropriate to continue my participation in the campaign – a political farce, and thus to accept its essence. Considering the above, I ask not to consider me a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine from now on,” Moroz informed on Facebook on March 27.

The presidential election in Ukraine is scheduled for March 31, 2019.
