Fire danger remains in eight regions of Ukraine – State Emergency Service
The highest level of fire danger remains in eight regions of Ukraine on August 22.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
"On August 22, extreme (5 class) fire hazard remains in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions," reads a statement.
The Emergency Service called on Ukrainian citizens to follow general fire safety rules while staying in forests, parks, and open areas and not to provoke fires in ecosystems. The rescuers underlined that during the past day there were 512 fire outbreaks on open territories in Ukraine.
In particular, the extinction of large-scale forest fires in Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Luhansk regions still continues.
