More than 60 towns and villages in Ukraine left without electricity due to bad weather

As of Thursday morning, severe weather conditions left 63 populated areas in five Ukrainian regions without power.

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“On the night of January 17th to 18th, bad weather conditions (snow, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 63 populated areas in five regions of Ukraine, particularly: 46 populated areas - in Poltava region, 7 - in Sumy region, 5 – in Kirovohrad, 4 – in  Cherkasy and 1 – in Dnipropetrovsk regions,” reads a report.

Emergency teams of Oblenergo have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
