Bad weather leaves 128 towns and villages without electricity

Adverse weather conditions have left 128 populated areas in eight regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

“In the early hours of December 25, bad weather conditions (snow, wet snow and wind gusts) caused blackouts in 128 populated areas in eight regions, in particular: Dnipropetrovsk region – 46 populated areas, Kirovohrad region – 43, Mykolayiv region – 16, Chernivtsi region – 8, Kyiv region – 6, Cherkasy region – 5, Zaporizhzhia region – 2 and Chernihiv region - 2,” reads the report.

As noted, the emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
