Train services suspended in Donetsk region due to enemy shelling
Train services in Ukraine's Donetsk region have been suspended due to enemy shelling near the Skotuvata station, Ukrzaliznytsia has reported on Facebook.
"Today, on September 9, at about 08:00, heavy shelling started from Ukraine's non-government-controlled area near the Skotuvata station of the Donetsk Railway. The shells fall at a distance of two kilometres from the station. There is no damage to the infrastructure at the moment," the report reads.
Station workers and passengers have been promptly evacuated to the shelter.
Until the situation gets stabilized, the movement of suburban trains No. 6011/6072 Lyman - Skotuvata – Lozova and No. 6003/6004 Izium - Skotuvata - Sviatohirsk to the Fenolna station has been suspended.
A Ukrainian service member was wounded in the area of the Joint Forces Operation on September 9 as a result of a shelling attack by Russian-backed forces.
