National Police: 16 killed in helicopter crash in Brovary
The National Police of Ukraine informs that, according to available updated information, 16 people are currently considered killed in a helicopter crashed in Brovary, Kyiv region.
"According to the available information, 16 people, including three children, were killed in this crash. In addition, 25 people were hospitalized and are provided with qualified medical assistance. Ten children were injured. Several people are in serious condition in intensive care units," Maryana Reva, Spokesperson for the National Police of Ukraine, said during the nationwide news telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
She noted that all survivors have injuries of different degrees of severity.
According to her, investigative and operational teams of the National Police, the Security Service, the State Bureau of Investigation continue to work at the scene. The police are doing everything possible to gather as much information as possible about the circumstances of the crash, the Spokesperson stressed.
As reported, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten and a residential building in Brovary town, Kyiv region, on Wednesday. Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevheniy Yenin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lubkovych were killed in the crash.
