Seventeen people reported killed in helicopter crash in Kyiv region’s Brovary
Seventeen people have been reported killed in a helicopter crash in the Kyiv region’s Brovary.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of 02:00 p.m., seventeen people were found dead, including four children and nine of those who were on board. Twenty-five persons, including 11 children, were taken to hospital (information is yet to be updated),” the report states.
According to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, search and rescue operations continue. The fate of one child is remaining unknown.
Fifty-one persons received psychological assistance from the Ukrainian State Emergency Service. Sixty-five rescuers and 12 equipment units are working at the scene.
A reminder that, on January 18, 2023, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten and residential building in the Kyiv region’s Brovary. Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevhenii Yenin and State Secretary of the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry Yurii Lubkovych were among those killed.
