Explosion at former plant in Kyiv: Two persons killed, four rescued

Two persons have been killed in an explosion, which occurred within the territory of a former plant in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. Four people were rescued from under the rubble.

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Search and rescue works continue at the site of an explosion within the territory of a former plant in the Darnytskyi district. Two persons were killed. Four people were rescued,” Klitschko wrote.

Dismantling works are underway. Rescuers are searching for survivors trapped under the rubble.
