Paints and varnishes warehouse on fire in Kyiv

A fire has broken out in an industrial warehouse located in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district. About 90 rescuers are working at the scene to localize and extinguish it.

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Eighteen equipment units are involved in firefighting operations in the Podilskyi district. A fire broke out in a metal warehouse facility within the territory of an enterprise. The fire spread to about 2,000 square meters,” Klitschko wrote.

According to Kyiv City Military Administration, a paints and varnishes warehouse is on fire. No casualties have yet been reported. The data are yet to be checked.

Relevant emergency services are working at the scene. The situation is remaining controlled.
