Dam breach in Kramatorsk district: Hundreds of households flooded
A total of 209 households and 51 detached houses are remaining flooded in the Kramatorsk district’s village of Horodeshchyne, following a partial breach in the dam.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As of 06:30 p.m., three civilians were rescued by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service.
Relevant works are underway to reinforce the river banks and create a spillway barrier.
The water pressure in the spillway has decreased, and the water level in the Bychok River is gradually reducing.
Forty-seven rescuers and 19 equipment units of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service are working at the scene.
According to the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry, two women and a man with disabilities were rescued. Twelve people were evacuated, including two children.
The Donetsk region’s rescuers are inspecting households to evacuate local residents.
