Series of bomb attacks in Nigeria: 18 people killed, 48 injured

In the north-east of Nigeria, in Borno state, on Saturday, June 29, at least 18 people were killed and 48 people were injured in bomb explosions.

This was reported by CNN, Ukrinform reports.

The first explosion occurred at a wedding ceremony at about 15:00 local time on Saturday, followed by another at a general hospital in Gwoza, and the third at a funeral.

The Director General of Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Barkindo Muhammad Saidu, visited the site of the Gwoza explosion. According to SEMA, the dead include men, women and children.

As reported by Ukrinform, in June, members of an armed group attacked villagers in Nigeria, killing at least fifty people.
