Road accident in Rivne region: Bodies of all victims identified

In the Rivne region, law enforcers have launched an investigation into a road accident involving a tanker truck and a Rivne-Khmelnytskyi minibus that killed 14 people, including a six-year-old boy. The bodies of all the victims have been identified.

According to Ukrinform, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported this on Facebook.

Under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into a violation of traffic safety rules that led to the death of people (Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

On July 6, on the Horodyshche-Rivne-Starokostiantyniv road near the village of Verkhiv, Rivne region, the driver of a tanker truck drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Rivne-Khmelnytskyi minibus.

The accident killed the drivers of both vehicles and 12 passengers in the minibus, including a 6-year-old boy. Doctors are fighting for the life of another woman, a resident of Netishyn, Khmelnytskyi region.

The investigative team, the expert service, representatives of the prosecutor's office, the police, the State Emergency Service and the regional state administration arrived at the scene. The necessary investigative actions are currently underway. The bodies of all the victims have been identified.
