Russian propagandists invent fake about bonfire marshmallow scented candles ‘House of Trade Unions’

Propagandists invented another fake to mark the "sacred date"

The Kremlin mass media and z-Telegram channels spread information that Ukrainian online stores started selling bonfire marshmallow scented candles with the label "House of Trade Unions" ahead of May 2.

As "proof", the propagandists cite a screenshot allegedly taken from the website of an online store where candles with patriotic slogans are sold, including a candle labeled "House of Trade Unions".

However, this is a fake photo. Counterfeiters found a candle stock photo on Rawpixel website for free and simply replaced the words on its label in Photoshop.

In both pictures, we see the same inscriptions in the middle of the label and the reflections of the light on the candle.

By creating such fakes, Russia continues to promote the narrative about the so-called "Odesa Katyn" and the "capture" of Ukraine "by nationalists" who "kill Russian speakers". The Kremlin has been using the events that took place in Odesa city on May 2, 2014 to justify its aggression against Ukraine for nine years already.

The main suspects in the tragedy of May 2, 2014 in Odesa are former police chief in charge of public security Dmytro Fuchedzhi and head of the local Emergency Service department Volodymyr Bodelan. Both fled and now hide in Crimea, temporarily occupied by Russia.

Earlier, Russian propaganda tried to present American Easter jokes on social networks as the "economic crisis" in the USA.
