Russian fake: ‘VIP places’ for burial next to Ukrainian defenders being sold in Vinnytsia

Russian agitprop fabricated information on the website of a funeral home

The Kremlin media and z-Telegram channels are circulating a screenshot from the website of the funeral home Anubis located in Vinnytsia, which allegedly offers services for "the burial next to the country's defender" for 10,000 hryvnias.

This is a fake. There is no funeral home with such a name in Vinnytsia.

However, there is the funeral home Obryad, the website design of which is identical to the fake screenshot with the name Anubis. In the "shop" and "coffins" categories, we found the page used by the propagandists for the fake screenshot.

As we can see, the website only offers to buy a coffin, and there is no category for "the burial next to the country's defender."

Black shoes, which propagandists added to the fake screenshot with the help of graphic editors, can be found on the website, but in the category "clothes for the dead."

The funeral home Anubis exists in Ukraine, but it is located in Odesa. The range of services of this funeral home does not include "the burial next to the country's defender" either. The website design is also very different from the fake screenshot.

This is not the first time that the Russian propaganda has created fakes about the burial of Ukrainian defenders.  In particular, the propagandists fabricated a story allegedly from the 1+1 TV channel that fallen Ukrainian soldiers will be buried in biodegradable pods.

Earlier, Russian propaganda created a fake video that actor Danny Trejo allegedly asked to pay a kickback for supporting Ukraine.
