NATO urged strengthen sanctions against Russia - draft resolution
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has urged the Allies to be ready to strengthen sanctions against Russia if the country does not stop its aggression against Ukraine.
This is stated in the draft resolution of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which meets in the Norwegian city of Stavanger on Monday, Ukrinform reports.
"The sanctions should be maintained as long as Russia does not fully comply with its ceasefire commitments under the Minsk Agreements," reads the document.
The resolution calls on the member states to be ready for the possibility of strengthening the restrictive measures against Russia.
Moreover, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly calls on the governments of the Allies to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine and to reduce Europe's dependence on Russian oil and gas.
