No traffic jams at border crossing checkpoints in Crimea - border guards
The Russian side has begun to permit entrance to Crimea of the vehicles with non-Crimean registration. Currently there’s no accumulation of vehicles in the so-called neutral zone between the Ukrainian and Russian border checkpoints at the administrative border of the southern Kherson region with Crimea.
Acting Assistant Chief of the Azov-Black Sea regional directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine on interaction with the media Maksym Soroka told Ukrinform in an interview on Monday.
"At this moment the Ukrainian border guards do not report any lines of vehicles traveling to Crimea at the border with Crimea in the so-called neutral zone between the Ukrainian and Russian checkpoints. Because of the problems in its own database the Russian side suspended entry to the peninsula from the mainland of Ukraine vehicles with non-Cimean registration that led to forming lines of vehicles at the administrative border. But yesterday and today the Russian side has permitted entry the vehicles cars with non-Crimean registration through its checkpoints that are traveling to the peninsula," said Soroka.
Currently the vehicles traveling from the Ukraine mainland to Crimea are processed as usual, the official noted.
