Lower House of Dutch Parliament endorses ratification of EU-Ukraine Association Agreement
The Lower House of the Parliament of the Netherlands has endorsed a bill which stipulates ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
The document was supported by 89 out of 150 MPs. 55 MPs voted against, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
To complete the ratification procedure, the document must also be approved by the Upper House of the Parliament of the Netherlands.
The vote is expected to take place after March 15.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko already praised the decision of the Lower House of Dutch Parliament regarding the approval of ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
"I welcome the decision of the Lower House of the Dutch Parliament regarding the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. I thank Mark Rutte and the parliamentary majority for the far-sighted position and support for mutually beneficial project. We are looking forward to the decision of the Senate," Poroshenko posted on his Facebook page.
