Turkey views annexation of Crimea as humanitarian tragedy
The annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea by Russia is unacceptable for Turkey.
Special representative of the president and government of the Republic of Turkey, interior minister of Turkey Suleiman Soylu said this at the 11th Kyiv Security Forum, organized by Arseniy Yatsenyuk's The Open Ukraine Foundation, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The annexation of Crimea is unacceptable for Turkey. We all believe that this is a humanitarian tragedy. It is impossible even to challenge the territorial integrity of Ukraine," he stressed.
As a reminder, Russia annexed the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014.
