Poland wants to improve relations with Ukraine and Belarus – Czaputowicz

Warsaw intends to improve relations with its eastern neighbors, primarily with Ukraine and Belarus.

Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said this during a two-day visit to Minsk, Polish Radio (Polskie Radio) reported.

“Poland wants to improve relations and is looking for opportunities to ensure security in the region. Such organizations as the OSCE or the Council of Europe play a special role in this issue,” Czaputowicz said.

According to him, Poland was the initiator of the Eastern Partnership project and wants to develop this initiative in the future.

“I think that the development of relations with the EU is a proposal for Belarus, Ukraine and other countries in the region. But we strive to overcome divisions along the East-West line,” he noted.
