Poroshenko held phone conversation with Erdogan

Petro Poroshenko held a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Erdogan, the president’s press service reports.

"The head of the Ukrainian state informed about the flagrant act of Russian aggression against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait area and actions of Ukraine in response, the introduction of martial law. The president of Turkey condemned the escalation and aggressive actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine," reads the report.

President Poroshenko called on the Turkish president to increase pressure on Russia to release Ukrainian sailors and ships.

The interlocutors also agreed that the Turkish president would raise the Ukrainian issue at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires.
