Israeli prime minister notes high level of democratic standards of Ukraine's presidential election
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commended the contribution of President Petro Poroshenko to the strengthening of Ukrainian-Israeli relations and noted the high level of democratic standards of the presidential election.
This was discussed during a telephone conversation between the leaders, the press service of the head of Ukrainian state reported.
"President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin Netanyahu commended the President’s contribution to the strengthening of Ukrainian-Israeli relations and noted the high level of democratic standards of the presidential election," reads the statement.
The Ukrainian president thanked the Israeli prime minister for supporting Ukraine in the international arena.
The parties noted the dynamic development of bilateral partnership, in particular the political dialogue at the highest level over the past five years.
The interlocutors separately noted that an important indicator of the effectiveness of the Ukrainian-Israeli dialogue would be the expected launch of the Free Trade Agreement, which would open new business opportunities, stimulate job creation contributing to the welfare of both nations.
Petro Poroshenko also congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on the successful holding of the elections to the Knesset of the State of Israel.
