Verkhovna Rada to hold first meeting on Sept 3 - Gerus

The first meeting of the newly elected Verkhovna Rada will take place on September 3, and negotiations on staff appointments will begin afterwards, according to Andriy Gerus, the president's representative in the Cabinet of Ministers.

"The parliament will meet on September 3 and, accordingly, appointments will be made after September 3. We are busy doing other work today. It is better to do something useful than to hold talks on future appointments," Gerus said at a briefing on Tuesday, August 6.
