Ukraine, UK discussing cooperation agreement after Brexit

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar has held a meeting with Sarah Croft, Lead Negotiator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry press service wrote this on its official Facebook page.

"The agenda is to conclude a new Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, which will replace the Association Agreement for our countries after Brexit," reads the report.

The Foreign Ministry noted "a common understanding of ambition of this bilateral document, which would correspond to the high level of relations between the two countries".

As reported, the UK planned to leave the European Union on March 29, 2019. Later, the date was postponed to the end of October.
