Ukraine will open the Innovation and Investment Promotion Office in Jerusalem which will have a status of diplomatic office.

“Ukraine and Israel are becoming closer - an important event. Following the agreement of President Zelensky with Israeli PM [Netanyahu] we are working on opening the Innovation Office in Jerusalem that will work with the Ukraine’s Embassy in Tel Aviv to help novel industries of our countries find partners,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko posted on Twitter.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz welcomed the opening of the Innovation Office in Jerusalem.

"I congratulate the Government of Ukraine on its official announcement to open an innovation and investment office in Jerusalem. The office will be equivalent of a diplomatic office, and will be a part of the Ukrainian embassy in Israel," Katz posted on Facebook.

He reminded that the Office would open in accordance with the agreements between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to promote high innovation and investment reached during Netanyahu's visit to Kyiv in the summer of 2019.

“I instructed the ministry's management to take care of the decision's implementation as soon as possible. This is an important achievement in strengthening Jerusalem's standing in the world,” the Foreign Minister of Israel added.
